How we built it
The river stays open to boats all year, so nothing could stand in the water for long. We built the piers inside cofferdams in the dry summer months and cantilevered the decks out from both banks, segment by segment.
The two halves met in the middle eleven millimetres apart, inside the tolerance the engineers asked for. The first car drove across three weeks early.
